This conference is the Seventh Asia Pacific General Galvanizing Conference (7th APGGC), following the 6th APGGC hosted by Galvanizing Association of Australia from May 29 to June 2 in the year 2005. The purpose of this conference is to gather the international community of galvanizers, suppliers, manufacturers and users of hot dip galvanized products, and offer them the opportunity for a global review of the latest development in galvanizing technology, which will benefit China and the world economy. The conference will be held in Beijing, China from Sept. 14 to 17, 2007 by Speciality Committee of Hot-dip Galvanizing of Chinese Society for Corrosion and Protection (CGA).

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to extend my warm welcome to all of the participants from Asian and Pacific areas and other countries of the world, to attend the 7th Asia and Pacific General Galvanizing Conference in Beijing, China.
 
The conference aims to focus on advanced technology and equipment, and energy saving and environment protection in galvanizing industry. We believe that through an extensive exchange among galvanizers, suppliers and users of hot-dip galvanized products, the conference will be very fruitful in this important field. Now China economy is developing rapidly. The hot-dip galvanized products have been applied in wide fields. There are about several hundreds of hot-dip galvanizing plants in China. This conference will provide a good opportunity for them to have an exchange and cooperation with foreign enterprises and colleagues, which will benefit to promote the improvement of  galvanizing technology and product quality.
 
The conference is held in Beijing, the capital city of the People’s Republic of China, and the center of culture, economy and science of China. During your stay in Beijing, you will find the ancient Chinese culture, mixed with the modern civilization. You will see some of the most famous historical sites such as the Great Wall and Forbidden City. Besides, you will be provided an opportunity to tour a Chinese galvanizing plant.
 
Autumn is the best season in Beijing. The golden autumn is a beautiful and harvest season. I wish the 7thAPGGC fruitful and successful. Again, I sincerely welcome all of you to join us, and wish everyone a joyful stay in China.

II. Information
1. Conference Venue
The conference venue for the 7th APGGC will be the Beijing Landmark Towers, China. All technical sessions, tea breaks, lunches and trade exhibition will be at this venue.
2. Hotel
Beijing Landmark Towers Company Limited is a large, multi-functional international business center co-invested by Beijing Tourism Group, Hong Kong New Heritage Investments Limited and Singapore Realty Management Service (Pte.) Limited. The Landmark Towers Company, which comprises an international hotel, a butler services apartment tower, two grade a office towers, large-scale conference retail outlets, restaurants and entertainment facilities, is located in the mature Lufthansa business circle.
The conference secretariat of 7th APGGC is holding a special allocation of rooms for this conference at a very special conference rate. Booking must be made through the conference secretariat to avail yourself of the group rooms and rate, and you have to fill in the Hotel Booking Form (B).

3. On-Site Registration
The conference will start with a welcome reception in the evening, September 14. The first conference session will commence at 08:30, September 15.
Registration will begin in the Begonia Room of the Beijing Landmark Towers at a special counter from 08:30 to 18:00, September 14.
4. Proceedings
Each delegate will receive a Conference Bag which will contain a printed version of conference papers, a program of the full conference, a delegate attendance list, name list of Chinese galvanizing enterprises, a name badge(must be worn during the conference) and important notes about the conference.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
5. Working Language
The working language of the conference is English. Conference will provide simultaneous interpretation of English- Chinese, English-Japanese and English-Korean.
6. Exhibition
A trade exhibition will be associated with the 7th APGGC on September 15th and 16th. This exhibition will provide an opportunity for Galvanizing enterprises, companies, universities, research institutes, associations and editorials to display their products, facilities and expertise to the whole world and provide them with opportunities to develop the Chinese market. The exhibition will be held in an area outside the main conference hall. All morning and afternoon teas will be served around the booths.
Admission to the exhibition will be for Registered Delegates Only.
7. Social Events
Friday 14th September
All delegates and Registered accompanying persons at 7th APGGC are cordially invited to a welcome reception which will take place in Vanda Grand Hall, Beijing Landmark Towers between 18:30 and 21:30.
Saturday 15th September
All delegates and Registered accompanying persons at 7th APGGC are cordially invited to enjoy recreateon. Coaches will depart the hotel at 18:00 and return approximately at 22:30.
Sunday 16th September
All delegates and Registered accompanying persons at 7th APGGC are cordially invited to a Chinese-style Banquet. This will begin at 18:30.
Monday 17th September
All delegates and Registered accompanying persons at 7th APGGC are cordially invited to the Great Wall. The Great Wall was originally built in 221 BC. It is said to be the only man-made structure visible from the moon. The section of Juyongguan we are going to visit was built in the 15th century during the Ming Dynasty and repaired recently. Coaches will depart the hotel at 09:00 and return approximately at 14:00.
8. Visa Application
In addition to a valid passport, a visa will be required for all non Chinese Passport holders to enter China. It is the delegate’s responsibility to ensure they are traveling on correct documentation and should check the requirements with their travel agent, airline or Chinese Consulate. We recommend that delegates ensure that their documentation is in place well in advance.
9. Airport Transfers
The average cost of a taxi from Beijing capital international airport to Beijing Landmark Towers is around RMB70 and it will take about 30 to 35 minutes to get to the hotel.
 
III. Registration
1. Conference Registration
All persons attending or visiting the 7th APGGC must pay Registration fee.
Entry to the Bauhinia Hall and Vanda Grand Hall of the Beijing Landmark Towers and Exhibition Rooms will be granted to official badge holders only.
Delegate Registration Fee
The fee includes attendance at all technical sessions, conference bag, a booklet of papers, morning and afternoon teas, lunches and attendance at the official evening functions and the Great Wall Tour.
Partners and Accompanying Person Fee
The fee includes attendance at all the official evening functions and the Great Wall Tour only.

2.     CALL FOR PAPERS
The 7th Asia Pacific General Galvanizing Conference is open to those who are interested in general galvanizing science and technology. If you fail to submit your thesis abstract before January 31, 2007, you are supposed to submit your full papers to the conference secretariat of 7th APGGC. Accepted papers will be printed in a proceedings and distributed to all participants at the start of the conference.
Full paper manuscript are required to submit before June 30, 2007. Paper format: A4 paper (210×297 mm), 25mm margins (at left & right side of each page), Times New Roman 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing. The abstract should contain title, author(s) full name (paper speaker should be underlined), affiliation and mailing address of each author. A MS-Word template for paper preparation can be downloaded from the conference web site. Authors can submit paper by E-mail (as attachments) or postal mail. E-mail submission is highly encouraged. V. Plant Tours
PT1  YONGFENG HOT-DIP GALVANIZING CO., LTD
Yongfeng Hot-Dip Galvanizing Group is the one of top scale general galvanizer in Asia , and dedicated to providing steel-ware manufacturers with professional hot-dip galvanizing services. Yongfeng has 2 plants in eastern China , which galvanized over 100 thousand tons of steel in 2004. Yongfeng Hot-Dip Galvanizing Co., Ltd., is located in Huacao town, Shanghai. The zinc kettle sizes are:16.2m (L)×(2 ~ 2.8)m(W)× 3.6m (D), containing 1,000T of zinc, one of the largest zinc kettle in China; 6.8m (L)× 1.8 m (W)× 3.2m (D), containing 250T of zinc. Yongfeng is a U.N. common Fund for Commodities (CFC) project implementing enterprise.

PT2 ZHEJIANG SHENGDA STEEL TOWER CO., LTD
Zhejiang Shengda is one of the earliest professional companies specialized in manufacturing steel structures for electric power construction. After many years accumulated experience, it has been expanded from a ZETT steel tower factory into one of the largest group companies specialized in manufacturing steel towers, steel tube towers, steel structures, steel pipes and hot-dip galvanizing service.
The Group comprises three subsidiary companies. The annual output of steel tower (steel tube tower, steel structure), spiral welded pipe, longitudinal welded pipe and galvanizing is respectively 150,000 tons, 40,000 tons , 20,000 tons and 150,000 tons. Zhejiang Shengda is a U.N. common Fund for Commodities (CFC) project implementing enterprise.

It is China’s representative theatrical art, and the painted faces of opera characters are among the most widely recognized symbols of the country. Peking Opera has been termed “total theater”. It integrates story, music, voice, acting, dance, acrobatics, makeup, costume, set and props. It differs dramatically from most western theater: its basic aesthetic aim is to be beautiful. Movements, speech and singing are stylized, in part to add to their beauty and to convey meaning on a stage that is all but devoid of settings. The theater has a subtitle message board of English and Chinese.
